Heyoo, I have been doing some value studies in photoshop and trying to get better at controlling the brush. Would appreciate some feedbäck and protips!  |

Taystee schmaystee Vili! Very nice! Is this for conceptarts LevelUp, or is it something you started out yourself? Who's the artist btw?  Very nice! First of all, do you want me to critique the drawing as well? I think there are some angles here and there that could be changed. Tilt the eye for example slightly down. Overall the head seems slightly too wide. I'm sure when you flick your eyes back and forth you will see the differences. Some icing on the cake when you're close to finishing it, is to think about your edge quality. Smudge tool is a god given thing when it comes to smudging edges out. The sharpest thing in the original is the eyelashes and that earring essentially. On getting better at controlling the brush it's basically just to paint paint paint paint!  Keep it up! |

Appreciate the feedback William! I was thinking of uploading my composition 1.1 lvlup paintings, but I can only upload a limited number or images in a reply. These are just some copy/studies to get used to digital painting. Mainly trying to get the values to look right and practice rendering. Did this one yesterday.  Attachments:
